My name is Nylette Lopez and I am a graduate of Roosevelt High School’s Class of 2017. I am an undergrad at Stony Brook University studying Biomedical Engineering. This blog is a way for me to give back to the students in my community as well as to give advice to have a smooth academic career. I’m open to comments, questions, concerns, and I’m here if you just need an ear.

During my high school career I was the Salutatorian, Student Body President, the President of the Marching and Concert Bands, the Co-Captain of the Mathletes Club, a Member of the National Honor Society and the National Art Honor Society, a Member of the Varsity Softball Team, the Principal Chair Tuba Player with the LIU Post Wind Symphony, a National AP Scholar with Honors, the Assistant Coach of the Middle School Softball Team, and a National Questbridge Finalist.

I hope that you can learn something new from my experiences and pass on the word to teach someone else! I also know that each and every one of you have the potential to be happy and successful. Thanks for reading.
